MANA de Albuquerque is actively involved in issues related to the advancement of Latinas including supporting access to higher education. As a result, MANA de Albuquerque has a scholarship fund that awards scholarships to Hispanic females within Bernalillo and Sandoval counties who are currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning, and who demonstrate a commitment to community service. Preference is given to MANA members and Hermanitas in good standing.
Applicant must be enrolled or plan to be enrolled, by the beginning of the 2016-2017 academic year, in an accredited college or university in New Mexico and provide documentation of enrollment. If an applicant has been accepted to an accredited college or university outside of New Mexico, her application will be considered if she meets all other eligibility requirements.
Undergraduate, non-traditional, and graduate students are eligible to apply. Applicant must be enrolled in school full-time AND agree to be mentored by a MANA de Albuquerque mentor during the award period AND must meet a Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 2.0 or better.
